SBOE - Officer Elections, Battles over Committees

The State Board of Education elected a new vice chair and secretary, and officers made committee assignments this week. Member Patricia Hardy challenged the latter, saying they were made without regard to member preferences and seniority, in violation, she contended, of the rules the board had just adopted.
